ScarlettMarie woke up with a start, her heart racing and her body drenched in sweat. Her sleep had been filled with vivid dreams of being chased through a dark forest by an unknown presence. It was always just out of reach, whispering curses and threats in a language she didn't understand. She shivered as she sat up, trying to shake off the last remnants of the nightmare.
The first rays of sunlight were just beginning to filter through the gap in her blinds, casting a warm glow across the room. ScarlettMarie rubbed her eyes, wincing at the stiffness in her neck from sleeping funny. The thought of taking a long, hot shower was enticing, but first, she needed to take care of something else.
With annoyance, ScarlettMarie realized just how much she had drunk the night before. Her stomach was churning uncomfortably, and every time she moved, waves of nausea washed over her. It was a familiar feeling, one that often followed heavy binge drinking sessions. She should have known better, but sometimes, she just wanted to forget about everything for a little while.
Sighing, ScarlettMarie pushed herself out of bed and stumbled towards the en-suite bathroom. Flipping on the light switch, she was momentarily blinded by the brightness before her eyes adjusted to the harsh glare. With a grimace, ScarlettMarie made her way over to the toilet, her steps unsteady. She stopped short when she saw the bowl, not surprised to see the bright red rim staring back at her.
She sighed again, realizing what she needed to do. It was never going to be easy, but it was necessary. Slowly, ScarlettMarie undid the clasp on her skirt, letting it fall to the floor. Next came her lacy black bra, followed by her panties. She shivered as the cool air brushed against her bare skin, but she forced herself to stay focused.
Carefully, ScarlettMarie lowered herself onto the toilet seat, wincing at the slightest pressure against her tender behind. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the inevitable discomfort. As she gingerly rubbed at her aching bladder, it felt like she was pushing against a brick wall. It was going to be a long and painful process.
With a loud grunt, ScarlettMarie finally managed to release herself, the wave of relief nearly bringing her to tears. She took a few moments to catch her breath, her forehead resting on the cool porcelain of the toilet bowl. Her stomach churned again, but she forced herself to keep going.
One by one, the logs of food and alcohol emerged from inside her, each one a painful reminder of the night before. It took longer than she would have liked, but eventually, she was finally able to flush away the evidence of her indulgence. With a sigh of relief, ScarlettMarie flushed the toilet and climbed slowly off the seat, her legs feeling like jelly.
She stepped into the shower, letting the hot water cascade over her body. As she soaped up and rinsed off, ScarlettMarie closed her eyes, trying to push the thoughts of last night away. It wasn't until she was drying herself off with a soft towel that she winced, feeling the sting of irritation between her legs.
ScarlettMarie sighed, knowing what she had to do now. It was going to be another long and uncomfortable morning, but at least she could finally move on with her day.
The door to her room creaked as she opened it, the sound echoing down the hallway. Her bare feet padding softly on the hardwood floor, ScarlettMarie made her way towards the kitchen, her stomach twisting uncomfortably with each step. She quickly fixed herself a bowl of cereal, choking down a few spoonfuls without tasting it.
Her phone buzzed on the table, breaking the silence of the room. ScarlettMarie picked it up, her heart sinking when she saw who it was. Not now, she thought to herself, not today. But she knew she couldn't ignore it.
"Hello?" she said, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Hey, ScarlettMarie," her friend said on the other end. "Are you free for lunch today?"
ScarlettMarie hesitated. She really didn't feel like socializing, but maybe some time outside of her apartment would do her some good. "Sure," she finally replied. "I could use a break."
