Lady Caroline was a wealthy and powerful woman who owned several slaves. One of her favorite pastimes was to watch them eat, particularly after they had indulged in her lavish meals. Today, she had ordered a special treat for her slave boy, Marcus. She instructed the cook to prepare a queen's salad - a sumptuous dish fit for royalty made from the leftovers of her meal. The slave boy would be fed this magnificent meal, and she would appreciate every moment of it.
Marcus, still trembling from the warmth of his mistress's kiss, was led into the grand dining room by one of Lady Caroline's servants. His heart raced as he beheld the extravagant table spread before him. A multitude of dishes, gleaming silverware, and finely polished glasses adorned the table, but it was the centerpiece that caught his attention.
There, arranged on a golden plate, lay the most mouthwatering assortment of food Marcus had ever seen. There were chunks of juicy steak, succulent prawns, and sautéed mushrooms. There were also slices of bread, and butter, as well as a bowl filled to the brim with some sort of green salad. Marcus's stomach rumbled in anticipation.
"Today, you are eating a queen's salad," Lady Caroline informed him smugly. "This is not food for a slave; it is fit only for a master." She gestured towards the bowl of greens filled salad. "Consume every morsel," she commanded, "and be sure to thank me profusely when you're finished."
Marcus nodded, his eyes fixed on the salad. He couldn't believe his luck. To be chosen for such an honor—to dine on the leftovers of his mistress's meal— was more than he could have ever hoped for. Slowly, he picked up his utensils and began to eat.
The salad was rich and flavorful, and he savored every bite. As he worked his way through the dish, he couldn't help but think about how much Lady Caroline must have enjoyed her meal for there to be such a delicious treat left for him. It filled him with a sense of pride and satisfaction that he had pleased his mistress and been rewarded so richly for his service.
When he had finished, he looked up at Lady Caroline, his face flushed with pleasure and gratitude. "Thank you, Mistress," he said, his voice quivering. "This was the finest meal I have ever eaten."
Lady Caroline's eyes sparkled with delight. "You are most welcome, my slave," she purred, running her fingers through his hair. "Now come with me, there is one last task for you to perform before I retire for the evening."
Marcus followed obediently, his stomach still rumbling contentedly from the feast he had just enjoyed. What could this new task possibly be? He wondered, his heart beating faster with anticipation. Whatever it was, he knew one thing for sure—Lady Caroline would be pleased with his devotion and service.
